Lemme catch ya up to speed here.

So I've had this Blogger account since March, and haven't looked at it again until last night, during an insomnia induced stupidity . My Communications instructor made me do it...or advised me to, anyway. So after much debate and some inspiration and arguments with myself, I've decided it may be time to spend a little time on it...as a way to share some of what I've been doing, with those that I miss and love back home and elsewhere. As a way to "get myself out there" a little more, and as a way to save and build somewhat of an on-line portfolio of odd and ends and whatnot's, that I can look back on from time to time. Apparently it's "the thing" these days.
So, lemme catch ya up to speed here. I've lived in Spokane for just about 11 months now. I've made quite a nice little home here. Live in a good neighborhood, in a little one bedroom apartment, that overlooks the Spokane River

with my crazy cat, Loopi. I should also mention here that she is fat and lazy...Her head doesn't even fit her body, really.
.

I'll also say that I am a lucky girl. I have an awesome job, that I am so lucky to even have, where I have met some of the most amazing people. I'm a student at Spokane Falls Community College, in the Communications program and work on the student newspaper, The Communicator, (where I have also met some amazing people) as a photographer, and do some of my own freelance work, as well. I've always wanted to be a photojournalist for as long as I can remember, although becoming an acrobat or lion tamer has always sounded appealing to me as well. I'm really not sure what I want to do. I'd like to do everything...which in turn can make me indecisive. Trying to figure that out is all part of the fun. Once I decide to do something, I waste no time in making it impossible for me to change my mind, which I can easily do because of fear.
I miss my homeland, my Walla Walla, but I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world.
